SYMPHONY
Symphony (noun):
something characterised by a harmonious combination of elements, especially of sound or colour
Inspired by the enchanting Yorkshire landscape, my Symphony series is a collection of original fusd glass wall art pieces and glassware.
I transpose the rhythm of the changing seasons and light on the hills and dales, moorland, rivers and shorelines into the rhythms and patterns within my work. Fine strips of glass are hand cut, juxtaposed, layered to build up texture and create depth as painters would with paints on canvas. The collage is then kiln-fired to create a symphony of light, colour and texture.
